- For General Candidates : Rs. 150/-
- For OBC-A, OBC-B Candidates: Rs. 100/-
- For SC/ ST/ PH Candidates: Rs. 50/-
WBTET Eligibility Criteria 2022 for Paper 1: Primary Teachers (Class 1 to 5)
The applicants must fulfil the following minimum eligibility conditions as prescribed by NCTE from time to time to be eligible to appear for the WB TET exam:
- Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent 10+2) with at least 50% marks and 2-year diploma in Elementary Education (DEIEd)
Or
- Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent 10+2) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEIEd)
Or
- Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent 10+2) with at least 50% marks and having Diploma in Education (Special Education), recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)
Or
- Graduation and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DEIEd)
Note: 5% relaxation of marks in Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary or its equivalent examination 10+2 (ie 45%) will be allowed for the SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PH, Exempted Category, ex-serviceman and DH (Death-in-harness) category candidates.
WBTET Eligibility Criteria 2022 for Paper 2: Upper Primary Teachers (Class 6 to 8)
Candidates are eligible to appear for the WB TET exam if they have:
- Cleared their BSc/BA or equivalent education
- Cleared their BEd/Secondary education exam with minimum of 50% marks
- Qualified the final four years of Bachelor in Elementary Education (BEIEd)
- Appearing in final two years BSc/ BA/ Diploma in Education and clear the exam with atleast 45% marks
